Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated individual to assist in the development and update of Naropa University’s Regenerative Climate Action Plan, aligning with current climate goals and commitments. This role will also involve providing consultation on land regeneration efforts, particularly in collaboration with the ReGeN Network, focusing on regenerative land use practices on campus.
Job Duties & Responsibilities
Climate Action Plan Update
• Research and Analysis: Compile and synthesize data regarding current climate goals and commitments. Analyze existing climate action plans at local, state, and federal levels to ensure comprehensive coverage of greenhouse gas (GHG) reduction strategies.
• Drafting and Documentation: Assist in drafting sections of the updated Climate Action Plan, including next steps to achieve 2040 goals. Ensure clarity and alignment with institutional objectives.
• Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with various departments and stakeholders to gather input and feedback on the Climate Action Plan. Facilitate meetings and discussions as necessary.
Land Regeneration Consultating
• Support ReGeN Network: Actively participate in the ReGeN Network meetings and initiatives. Provide insights and recommendations based on best practices in land use.
• Consultation Services: Offer expert advice on land regeneration strategies that promote sustainability and ecological health on campus. Assist in developing action plans and designs that align with institutional regenerative/sustainability goals.

o Science and Civil Engineering
o Ecology
o Biology
o Or other related field of studies
• Prior Experience: Experienced professional with high level track record of working with Climate Action Planning and data analysis.
• Certifications: N/A
• Knowledge/skills/competencies:
• Strong research and analytical skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
