Compensation: $20 per hour and $3,000 scholarship for the academic year

Job Summary
The Career Services Graduate Assistant is the Employer Relations Specialist for the Office of Career & Life Development. This position manages the job posting board and list serves, and is the primary contact to employers. This position also works on outreach, event planning, special projects, resource development, job postings, updating the website, and conducting drop-in professional development sessions i.e. resume, cover letter, and job search techniques. This position starts in the Fall 2025 semester.

Job Duties & Responsibilities

• Manages employer job postings, internships and volunteer opportunities on list serves and MyNaropa.
• Provides customer service for employers that need assistance.
• Plans and hosts various outreach events to increase awareness of office services and to help build professional development skills among community
• Recruits students and alumni to be involved in various office events, resources, and job list-serves
• Provides individual and group career support to undergraduate and graduate students, addressing resume and cover letter writing, job searching, interviewing, and internship preparation.
• Manages thorough and timely record keeping of individual meetings and appointments.
• Conducts class presentations on career development topics (training provided)
• Updates and creates online career resources for students.
• Makes website updates such as listing current events and announcements.
• Coordinates event planning such as creation, promotion, setup / take down and marketing of events.
• Helps with development and promotion of department marketing and branding campaigns.
• Manages and analyzes quantitative and qualitative research to support the refinement and effectiveness of office programming efforts. Presents latest career findings to C&LD team on a monthly basis.
• Works on special projects as needed.
• Other duties as assigned.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Understanding of Excel, listserv management, website management, and online tools.
• Some experience with surveying tools and research.
• Able to provide good customer service and promote student engagement.
• Comfort with public speaking and conducting presentations.
• Experience working with college students.

Physical Requirements & Environmental Conditions:
In the classrooms and on campus may experience: interruptions, distractions, heat, cold, dust and/or dampness. As a graduate assistant, you may spend extended periods time with any of the following:
•Reading academic texts and materials, student papers, etc.
•Operating personal computer and audio-visual equipment.
•Standing or sitting for hours at a time.
•Moving around campus for classes and meetings.

Naropa recognizes the following holidays throughout the year: Martin Luther King, Jr. Day, Memorial Day, Juneteenth, Independence Day, Labor Day, Fall Break, 4th Thursday and Friday in November, and Winter Break, the last two weeks in December encompassing the Christmas holiday as well as New Year’s.

All regular full-time and part-time faculty and staff, including student workers, accrue sick leave benefits. Full-time and part-time staff positions accrue vacation and personal time. All leave accrual rates vary based on the position, hours worked, and years of service.
