Job Summary
As the Manager of Marketing Production, you will project manage the efforts of the marketing team based largely in Boulder, CO, serving as the central resource manager to provide continuity among projects, producers, and clients. Your primary responsibility is to convey project requirements, deadlines, and deliverables to front-line managers, who will then communicate these details to their production staff and ensure updates are relayed back to you. Your strengths in process development, project management, and strategic communication will be key to optimizing departmental outcomes and providing a reliable, professional point of contact for all marketing support requests.
Job Duties & Responsibilities
· Reporting & Data Analysis
o Establish, track, and ensure that relevant data and analytics inform and guide communications, marketing, and enrollment strategies, with a focus on internal reporting processes as well as vendor-generated data.
o Develop processes and reports to track outcomes related to each project and their ROI, including:
Resources allocated to each project
Average time to completion for each project
Adherence to budget and project deadline
Marketing performance indicators such as open and click-through rates, social media engagement, website traffic, and lead conversions
o Communicate results to the Director of Marketing and Communications, Senior Director of Marketing and Communications, the Marketing team, and University Leadership on a quarterly basis.
o Based on these reports, develop recommendations to improve marketing operations and project outcomes.
· Project Management & Communication
o In conjunction with the Director of Marketing and Communications, assess and optimize the processes used to capture and prioritize all requests for marketing support.
o Provide the Marketing and Communications team with analysis/data on production needs, project timelines, and timeliness.
o Serve as the main point of contact with each degree program faculty chair, understanding each program’s learning objectives, differentiators, and key marketing messages.
o Within Marketing, collaborate with front-line managers to convey project requirements and deadlines; front-line managers will then communicate with their production staff and provide status updates to you.
o Serve as a liaison between internal stakeholders and the web/digital, communications, and production teams to ensure timely completion of high-quality deliverables.
o Communicate deadlines, progress, and results to internal stakeholders, vendors, and the Marketing team on a regular basis.
o Attend regular meetings of the Enrollment Management Team and various internal committees, consisting of Marketing and Communications, Admissions staff, and Naropa administration.
o Support the Director and Senior Director of Marketing and Communications as assigned with various organizational needs, including budget planning and management, marketing research, and communications support.
o Coordinate with the Director of Marketing and Communications and the Creative Director and Lead Designer to source and facilitate relationships with professional photographers and videographers as needed to ensure desired timelines and outcomes.
o Maintain communication with directors of non-degree programs and centers to be sure their offerings are effectively marketed to achieve their goals.
· Strategic Communication
o Collaborate with other project managers in the DESS Division (Development, Enrollment, and Student Support) in order to learn from each other and refine project management tools and methodologies.
o Develop and deliver presentations to communicate strategy, project outcomes, and recommendations to stakeholders, building on established processes for clarity and buy-in.
o Communicate key takeaways and action items from meetings with academic leadership to the rest of the team, facilitating buy-in for process or strategy changes.
Minimum Requirements:
· Must have 3 or more years of experience in managing multiple complex, concurrent projects within creative teams.
· Clear and concise writing and reporting skills.
· Confidence in using project management techniques and software to stay organized and accountable.
· Comfortable with the work that content producers do, specifically the timelines, resources needed, deliverables, and fulfillment options.
· Social media production experience, preferably working on Naropa’s social platforms (Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, and TikTok), to assist those managing the profiles and those creating content.
· Strong working knowledge of standard office procedures and productivity software such as Microsoft Office, MS Teams, MS Planner, and various video conferencing platforms.

Preferred Qualifications:
· Experience managing creative projects.
· Ability to use marketing analytics to advise on content development decisions.
· Experience managing a complex calendar of deadlines and deliverables.
