Job Summary
The MCIC Administrative Support Work Study position will provide project management and general office support for the Mission, Culture & Inclusive Community division. As a part of a collaborative MCIC work-study team this position will also provide event and training support, marketing and course creation support.
Job Duties & Responsibilities
Support the Director: Assist the Director of MCIC with meeting and event preparation, including scheduling, agenda creation, and document management.
Clerical and Administrative Tasks: Perform general clerical duties such as creating and editing documents, managing files, conducting basic internet research, and data entry.
Event Support: Aid in the organization, setup, and breakdown of MCIC events and trainings (including Community Gatherings, Town Halls, Community Practice Day, and others), both in-person and online.
Technology and Logistics: Provide in-person, Zoom, and hybrid event support, including technical setup, chat moderation, and hosting guest presenters.
Communication and Promotion: Distribute promotional materials (flyers, posters, web posts, emails) and assist with web design and calendar updates on the MCIC myNaropa site.
Attendance and Feedback Tracking: Log event attendance, send follow-up emails, and track community feedback and responses.
Team Collaboration: Meet and collaborate regularly with MCIC staff and the work-study team to support ongoing and emergent projects.
Professional Conduct: Maintain positive, professional, and service-oriented communication with faculty, staff, students, and the wider community.
Ongoing Training: Participate in training related to restorative community, social-ecological justice, contemplative practice, and student leadership.
Other Duties: Perform additional tasks as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
Student must be awarded federal work study hours by the Naropa Financial Aid office in order to fill this position.
An understanding of the dynamics of privilege and oppression and the impact these have on equity, access, and opportunity in higher education.
Commitment to co-create an inclusive community and actively participate in related professional development, including openness to feedback and ongoing self-examination
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to maintain confidentiality and deal with sensitive information appropriately.
Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and Microsoft Edge

Strong technical skills, ability to learn new platforms in social media, media design, graphic design, etc.

Educational degree/diploma required:
High school
Minimum length of prior relevant professional experience required:
6 months to 1 year of similar administrative experience a plus.

All regular full-time and part-time faculty and staff, including student workers, accrue sick leave benefits. Full-time and part-time staff positions accrue vacation and personal time. All leave accrual rates vary based on the position, hours worked, and years of service.
