Job Summary
This position works as part of the Marketing and Communications team to create multimedia content in support of social media, blogs, and the website.
Job Duties & Responsibilities
• Taking campus and activity photos and video for all social media platforms
• Creating original content – including writing, photography, video, and/or graphic design
• Creating and sharing content across social media platforms, including TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, and LinkedIn, with a primary focus on TikTok
• Engaging with audiences on our social media platforms by responding to comments and direct messages
• Interviewing fellow students about their Naropa experience. Will need to record, edit, and sometimes transcribe interviews to be shared on public platforms or saved in the Naropa content library
• Assist the Digital Marketing Coordinator in sharing content through the Naropa blog - The Pilot Light, MindfulU podcast, and Naropa’s YouTube channel
• Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Requirements:
• Student must be awarded work study hours by the Financial Aid office in order to be eligible for this position.
• Interest in marketing with a willingness to learn.
• Writing and proofreading skills
• Must be detail oriented, organized, and take initiative
• Experience with social platforms, particularly Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, and TikTok
• All job candidates must demonstrate an appropriate level of understanding of and appreciation for the values of Naropa University and the capacity to demonstrate an integration and embodiment of these values as evidenced in work, communication, collaboration styles, and other general workplace behaviors.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience and willingness to work with TikTok.
• Familiarity with both Mac and Windows a plus.
• Experience with social media management or publishing software.
Physical Requirements & Environmental Conditions
During regular daily activities, employee must be able to do the following with or without reasonable accommodation: lift up to 35 pounds, stand, walk, sit, handle/finger, bend at the waist, reach above shoulder level, kneel, crouch, and interruptions/distractions.
