Job Summary
Assist visiting SWP faculty members & SWP staff with administrative, technical, and transportation needs. This is a temporary position for 3 weeks (includes one 2hour paid training prior to start date). Runs from June 8 – June 28, 2025.

Job Duties & Responsibilities

• On-deck Monday mornings to assist the smooth launch of each week.
• Check in with Program Assistants daily regarding guest faculty assignments and their events
• Serve as primary point of contact for your guest faculty
• Assist guest faculty & program staff with classroom set-up
• Collect guest faculty administrative and course related paperwork
• Check out and return library equipment for workshops
• Assist guest faculty with events scheduling, tech, and classroom needs
• Be prepared to answer guest faculty questions about workshops, events, paperwork, and tech needs
• Coordinate tech needs for the PAC crew with the Faculty Director Assistant.
• Provides transportation to and from events
• Courier mail and messages to guest faculty
• Collect intro and interview materials
• Provide service in other areas in which the guest faculty member may need support
• Introduce at least one guest for faculty readings

Minimum Requirements:

• Must have or be working on obtaining a BA or MFA in a field related to Writing & Poetics
• Be a currently enrolled JKS student
• Be attentive, respectful, and prompt
• Ability to manage time and multitask
• Highly organized and professional
• Valid Driver’s License
• All job candidates must demonstrate an appropriate level of understanding of and appreciation for the values of Naropa University and the capacity to demonstrate an integration and embodiment of these values as evidenced in work, communication, collaboration styles, and other general workplace behaviors.

Preferred Qualifications:
• Proficiency in Excel and Microsoft Word
• Be able to use a recording device
• Operate a printing machine

Physical Requirements & Environmental Conditions

During regular daily activities, employee must be able to do the following with or without reasonable accommodation: lift up to 30 pounds, stand, walk, sit, run, handle/finger, bend at the waist, reach above shoulder level, kneel, crouch, interruptions/distractions, and heat/cold.
